SIA was set up a couple of years ago to support schools in the Independent Sector to have access to quality resources and speakers from the world of Diversity and Inclusion and to share examples of best practice. We set it up, initially as a conference; partly in frustration that there wasn’t the quality of information and conversation about inclusion that was happening in other sectors and partly because we were deeply passionate about the Independent Sector and want us to be brilliant for all students.
Schools’ Inclusion Alliance was founded with the aim of putting inclusion at the heart of every school, turning passion into tangible action and thus ensuring that every member of a school community feels valued for who they are.
